F.lux

Compatibility: Windows XP+, Mac OSX 10.4+
You know how when you stay up late on the computer and your eyes become more and more strained? It's because computer displays are designed to look like the sun.f.lux is a little utility that aims to fix this. You tell it where you live, and what your lighting is like, and when the sun sets or rises, it will dim or brighten your screen's lumen value accordingly. Just set it to open when you login and forget it about it. Your eyes will thank you.
However, I should note that on the Fast 60s setting in Windows, it tends to freeze up your system while it's adjusting the brightness. You'll just have to wait it out, or you can try the Long 60m setting.

LG EnV2
Review by xMop on September 23, 2009, 02:28:33 PM under Devices
Website: http://www.lge.com/products/model/detail/env2(vx9100).jhtml
Compatibility: Verizon Network
The LG Env2 is called the "Next generation messaging phone". This is true, aside from the phone part. It's great for texting and IM's, but when it comes to being a phone, it fails. The voice quality (In both receive and xmit) is terrible, I frequently have to have people restate things, or restate things myself. The outer keyboard will die after about 6 months, after which you won't be able to make calls NOT on speakerphone.Avoid this phone, the EnV1 is better.
E5300 Intel CPU

Website: http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=35300
Compatibility: Any i386/x64 OS
The E5300 is a GREAT budget LGA775 CPU. I bought one because it was cheap, but it's performance is quite impressive. At stock speeds, it is 2.6ghz, but on stock cooling it runs nicely at 2.8ghz overclock, and with the right 20$ cooler, I've gone as high as 3.3ghz, with absolutely NO heat issues, and never having it get hotter then 120F - all on stock voltage. I can only go that high because of motherboard limitations, but there have been reports of as high as 4ghz. That's 153% stock speed! VERY good for a 70$ cpu.I use it for gaming, at which it does VERY well. Remember it is Dual core, NOT core2duo. There IS a difference. Totally worth the price.
DestroyTwitter

Website: http://www.destroytwitter.com/
Compatibility: Any Adobe AIR-capable OS
DestroyTwitter, despite its name, is not an application about destroying Twitter. Rather, it is a nice, lightweight cross-platform Twitter client. I found DT while searching for a Windows alternative to Tweetie, a really nice Mac client (which I recommend). DT can do everything Tweetie can do, and it even supports themes so you can customize its look. There's really not much to say, it's a Twitter client. It lets you filter out replies, search, tweet, retweet, shorten URLs, post images, etc. Try it out!
ColorCop

Website: http://www.colorcop.net/
Compatibility: Windows
ColorCop is a very interesting program, which allows you to get the RGB and hex number of a color anywhere on your screen. I myself use it a lot when doing web design.
I don't have a whole lot more to say. It is a very simple program but it does its job well. Which is why I give it a 10 out of 10
Winfox
Review by soren121 on June 07, 2009, 04:01:52 AM under Browsers
Website: http://www.compugeeksoftware.com/software/winfox.aspx
Compatibility: Windows 7
If you've used Windows 7, you know (or you should know) that Internet Explorer 8 is tied in with many helpful features of Windows 7, like jumplists and Aero Peek. Firefox, out-of-the-box, does not have this capability.Say hello to Winfox. Install Winfox to your Firefox install directory, and install the Firefox extension as well by dragging it into Firefox. Now, you can't keep using the Firefox shortcuts--you have to use Winfox. Pin Winfox to your Taskbar and Start Menu to be helpful to yourself.
Voila! Your Firefox now supports jumplists, Aero Peek, and window linking! And probably much more, but you can find that on your own. ;-)
